My point exactly although I gave birth at 35 ☺ Before getting pregnant I was seriously reconsidering whether I should have them because of my age, my life, and the world being “such a scary place”.
Still, no matter if you really, really want kids or not, you can never know what it’s going to be like. You never know what you are going to get. Your life drastically changes but so does your perspective. Parenting is hard, demanding, often ungrateful but it often changes you as a person in a good way. You don’t profit from it necessarily but many people do.
