I had a situation where my superior (although we had the same title) was following me through the corridors to see who I was talking to. She did many other things as well but I decided not to take it anymore when she blocked my door and didn’t let me leave the office. I got fired because she came to the company first and I was a new worker.

Then I got another job and kept my mouth shut for the fear of getting into a similar situation. Of course, people who are insecure about their own positions do mobbing.

I had experiences where managers didn’t care about their staff’s wellbeing. Also as a woman, growing up, my parents wouldn’t let me argue or show healthy aggression, so I never learnt how to stand up for myself.

I’m learning it now in my late thirties.
