I never learned how to argue because my mother wouldn’t let me fight with my sister. Every time someone raised a voice, she would consider it domestic violence. Also, I didn’t want to fight to hurt the other person’s feelings.

Knowing how to express your anger is considered a part of being psychologically mature. And women are affected by the taboo of being “mad angry” even more than men are. I am making tiny steps towards not being ashamed to express my anger. And I am still uncomfortable to do so ☺
