This kind of sharing your most personal details feels like some kind of emotional prostitution to me — to exploit my own emotions to gain the audience, traffic, monetize it; AND maybe even hurt someone.
Everybody has some embarrassing/juicy/hurting details from their personal lives. I wouldn’t expose my vulnerability in front of millions.
Still, some of the best posts I’ve read here are very intimate thoughts from people on ASD, homosexuality, etc. They enlightened me. But they are very well written posts full of concrete details which help us empathize with people very different from us.
I would think 3 times before posting something which exposes me or my family.
